Brief History of Altura

Altura is a platform for developers interested in creating web3 and integrating games into web3 to do so without any web3 knowledge. The project’s goal is to develop an open and accessible user interface for the development of smart NFTs. Furthermore, the project, according to the whitepaper, aims to create an open marketplace for transacting NFTs on the blockchain network. One of the current issues that users face is a lack of ownership. Gamers do not truly own their virtual possessions. They also lack the ability and freedom to send, receive, and trade such items. The reason for this is the game developers’ centralized control over in-game items. Such developers’ actions of closing, manipulating, and even deleting items do not give gamers a true sense of ownership. The token Altura was released in May 2021. Altura can be traded on gate.io, LATOKEN, and baby swap. It is currently ranked 716th on coinmarketcap and 822nd on coingecko. So far, they’ve completed the majority of their roadmap, including the launch of a landing page, marketplace, and staking platform, as well as the creation of their first smart NFTs, Altura penguins, and the launch of a developer portal.

What is BRC-20?

BRC-20 is an experimental token standard designed to create semi-fungible tokens on the Bitcoin network using the Ordinals protocol. Initially introduced as a way to overcome Bitcoin’s programmability limitations, BRC-20 tokens enable fungible token creation on the blockchain by inscribing data onto individual Satoshis. This innovation expanded Bitcoin’s utility beyond its core role as a peer-to-peer cash system, allowing for new possibilities in decentralized finance (DeFi) and digital collectibles.
