Brief History of Verasity

Verasity is a next-generation video-sharing platform aimed at creating a fair system for creators to earn from their work and advertisers to gain value for their ad spend. Verasity aims to significantly increase advertising revenues for video publishers in any video platform through its rewarded players and ad stack utilizing its patented protocol layer on the blockchain PoV(Proof of View) which is the only protocol layer patented technology for the blockchain. Verasity was launched in December 2018. It was one of the first ICOs in the industry, and most investors were skeptical about the potential. However, the ICOs success has spurred a lot of interest. Its first big push was in early 2021 when Bitcoin had reached new all-time highs. Then veracity spiked again, reading its first all-time high of $0.05 per coin. Then, the price fell to $0.01 in July but soon recovered to a new all-time high of $0.086.

What is BRC-20?

BRC-20 is an experimental token standard designed to create semi-fungible tokens on the Bitcoin network using the Ordinals protocol. Initially introduced as a way to overcome Bitcoin’s programmability limitations, BRC-20 tokens enable fungible token creation on the blockchain by inscribing data onto individual Satoshis. This innovation expanded Bitcoin’s utility beyond its core role as a peer-to-peer cash system, allowing for new possibilities in decentralized finance (DeFi) and digital collectibles.

What Are DApps?
